Featured on today’s [February 26] Eats + Drinks segment on Coast Live on WTKR TV-3 is the Marfil Brut Cava from Spain.
Cava is a sparkling Spanish wine crafted in a traditional champenoise method using Spanish grapes like Macabeo, Parellada, and/or Xarel-lo. Styles range from dry to sweet. The differences in Cava and Champagne are often subtle, coming from grape varietals and terroir.
Notes:
Crafted with the secondary fermentation in bottle, the Marfil Brut Cava is aged for 14 months. It is a balanced, elegant and smooth wine with green apple, citrus and floral notes.
This cava is blend of 60 percent Xarel.lo, 30 percent Macabeu, and 10 percent Parallada grapes.
The wine is one of the offerings from the TASTE 100, a curated selection of amazing wines at amazing prices. Find out more, including the nearest TASTE location HERE [LINK]
