“Despite it being January and heading into the climatologically coldest part of the year we do not see any real threats of winter making a formidable comeback or for that matter getting under way (in Coastal Virginia),” says WVEC TV-13‘s meteorologist Tim Pandajis.
“Temperatures will remain above average and storm threats look wet rather than white. The reason, the atmosphere is responding to a developing El Nino which usually means a milder and wetter scenario for the eastern seaboard. For winter weather lovers, the season is young and there is plenty of time for snow.”
When those seasonably cold temperatures do hit, Tim suggests settling in with some good comfort food. He shares his recipe for Tzatziki Greek Fries, a nod to his Greek heritage, here [LINK].
