“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.” – Kathy Calvin
More than 14 million meals were distributed to those in need across the Coastal Virginia region last year by the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, all thanks to food donations.
The Foodbank works with dozens of partner agencies and programs across the region. Together they provide food to the people in the community who need it most through food pantries and other means.
But it all starts with giving; food drives and fund drives are the first step toward solving hunger.
AND ON DECEMBER 2, YOU CAN ENJOY A HOLIDAY OUTING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS and help others.
Donate to the Holiday Yule Log Bonfire & Christmas Market Food and Fund Drivefor the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore and receive a free hot cocoa at the event.
The event takes place at Town Point Park, located along the Elizabeth River waterfront in Downtown Norfolk.
Donations can be dropped off during the event at the Guest Relations tent, or prior to the event at the Festevents Office located at 120 W. Main Street, Norfolk VA.
